Secret Message Bracelets

Great way to start writing a blog entry: smell of burning food. Ghghgh. I hope it still tastes alright, since I'm going to be eating it the next two days.

~*~

In any case, yeah. Since causing head aches to people is so much fun, I made few bracelets and told people to figure out what is the secret message they hide. So far so good, they weren't that hard to break. Haha.

Bracelet 1

“Fantasy is escapist, and that is its glory. If a soldier is imprisoned
by the enemy, don’t we consider it his duty to escape?
…If we value the freedom of mind and soul, if we’re partisans of liberty,
then it’s our plain duty to escape, and to take as many people with us as we can!”

-J.R.R. Tolkien

Bracelet 2

“Do you wish me a good morning,
 or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not;
 or that you feel good this morning;
or that it is a morning to be good on?”

-From The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

Bracelet 3

"Thorin, Fili, Kili, Balin, Dwalin, Oin, Gloin, Ori, Dori, Nori, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur"

-Dwarf names from The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien

How to break it and to make it?

As you may have guessed, the coding I used for these was the morse code. Pretty simple, easy to translate to beads. If you would like to make some yourself, this it what you will need:

A wire or a thread
A good amount of four different beads
Possibly two bigger things to hang from the ends (the skulls and crowns in examples)
Scissors

How to proceed?
1. Come up with something to write
2. Get a sheet of morse code showing how each letter is translated
3. You have four beads to be used like this:
- 1. for dots
- 2. for dashes
- 3. to mark spaces between letters
- 4. to mark spaces between words
 4. Now start coding.

Have an example sheet for morse code, found from Wikipedia:

Also, found some cute leaf beadscharmswhichevers and added them to an old bracelet that I had. Yup.

Last Friday - almost a week ago already oh my - there was a clubbing event, Bella Morte Club at Doris. Natually went there and enjoyed the company of many lovely things. Music was good and mood was nice, but the temperature was super high! At least on the dance floor, where we spend a good 3-4h again on a row. We very sporty.
And yes, that's pretty much the best pic I got of the outfit. Yup. You should have seen the others.

As for other things. I have been down with a fever for the last three days (again). Time well send on Supernatural season 5 (CastielhowcanyoubesocuteIcanttakeit!) and grinding FF XIII (/#&%"&#/%&). Also have watched a good number of other things as for late aside of those, my sister seems to be trying to secretly brainwash me to learn Japanese. Let's see if I remember right, there was Kamikaze Girls (movie), Majisuka Gakuen (series) and Yankee-kun to Megane-chan (series). Did I forget any? Anyway, they were all a lot of fun, heehee^^.
A pear pie going in an oven.

Which reminds me that I was supposed to eat. Sigh. So it's going to be burned and cold food today..

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012

Alive! Me! Still! Just in case someone missed me. I've been using all my free time on Guild Wars 2, so haven't made it to anywhere else. I have so much to post to this blog again, but so little time! Must play! I mean, must wake up early to go and sew feathers around. Yup.
And when I get back here again.. I have so much catching up to do! I bet all my favorite bloggers have updated at least ten times during my absence. Well, must prepare a good load of tea for that marathon then!

~*~

To get my topic list shorter by one, have some wonderful jacket love! These gorgeous jackets from Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2012 menswear collections are eating my poor heart. How much can I love jackets? And there was a good deal of capes too. Do see the whole load in [here].

I so do need more jackets. Even though that means I'll have over twenty of them. Do I care?
