Dark Blue Hair

In the darkening days of Autumn, two suspicious characters stroll through the parks and streets of a quiet neighborhood...

My hair has always been a bit of a trouble maker, and now more than ever, since it has reached The Random Lenght, with no clear cut anywhere to be seen. As it happens [Giko] asked me to order two wigs from eBay to her and talked me into getting one for myself as well. And I did. And this is what followed when the post brought them last Friday....

The Top Hat & Shoes - secondhand // Wig -eBay // Jacket - Punk Rave // Pants - F+F // Accessories - random /DiY

Giko got herself this cute pink wig and a blond one. So cute~
Now, everyone who wants to see me in a pink wig, hands up! Not that it still would happen xD. (Or maybe..?)

And just because...

I'd be a mighty air-bass player!
Not that I can play bass. I'm a keyboard person. Did I mention I used to play in a band that played melodic metal? Well, I did play in one some years ago, haha. (And I'm pretty sure I looked better than I sounded!)

Oh yeah, do you like big pictures like in this post or small ones like in earlier ones? Now that I poked my layout a bit, I could post big pics too, as long as they are not overly shaky or blurred.

As for other things...
Aaagh! I have been missing some dark dancing clubs & happenings because the person I usually used to drag to them with me moved to another city! He was always ready to accompany me if the schoolwork didn't keep him away and he is such a nice company all in all! (Especially since he likes to talk, and I like to listen, haha.) Sigh, now I need to do some serious talking beforehand to brainwash people to believe that yes, they want to sacrifice some night sleep, yes, they want to use few euros to do that and yes, they want to jump around on dance floor (like you, J-pon, if you read this! I already know you like the music, so I'm gonna brainwash you to listen it at cluuubs~). I suppose I could go by myself too, but it's so much more fun with someone you know and like to hang around with.

And I wish I was good enough in German to speak and write with it!
...I can already, sort of, studied it lazily for 9-10 years *cough*. But note the "lazily". I hardly ever did any homework.. so it's my own fault that I'm so bad at it, haha xD.

When One Thing Goes Wrong...

I was going to make this velveteen, pinstriped jacket with double rows of buttons, weird collar and half-length sleeves that would fit to kodona/male aristo stuff, while being weird in a right way. When it was all cut and half sewed, I realized that it was looking... not cool. Something had to be done. And I did. And in the end I got two jackets of sorts that had nothing to do with the original idea.

Jacket Number One

It had cute, tiny buttons too at first, but my ability to put anything on straight lines failed so bad, I had to remove them in the end.

This is a bit weird ankle, sorry, but the point is that the front is shorter than the back. Will look nice with waist corsets and stuff.

Smacked some eyelets and tied some ribbon on the sleeves.

And yeah, the dark photos and the ones with some light were taken on different days. In this one the jacket still had those buttons *cough*.

Zoom.

And that took only the first half of the screwed up jacket. So to get the rest of it on good use, I still had the bottom part to work with. That led to...

Jacket Number Two

Smacking the eyelets is fun. But it scares the dogs.

The sleeves go with three layers. And they are made of the bottom part of the screwed up jacket, haha. The rest are left overs of the same fabric.

Everyone loves spikes. And they are attached on black velveteen left overs of this one miniskirt I made somewhere during ...last spring?

The back. And the eyelets are of a same size and on pretty much symmetrically attached, my mighty photographing skills just make them look kinda tweaked. And when I find some chain of a right size I'll put it through the eyelets and hang some DIYed/killed earring things on the ends. I just didn't find the chain from any of the shops I visited....

As for other things...
Nothing much, I suppose. I have been... waving a sword and playing video games and working.

Simple all-black, a long leather jacket, scary boots and pendants are pretty much what I have been wearing all autumn. Nothing fancy, just hanging around.

Nightwish & Imaginaerum & Hartwall

Last Saturday me, J-pon and M went to see Nightwish perform at Helsinki, and to see their movie Imaginaerum. We arrived after the doors were already opened, but somehow magically made it to the first row. Oh my. I have never been in the first row. Sadly though we were right behind this camera man, and hence taking good pictures became a bit harder task ( and he blocked my whole view to the drummer, Jukka, which is sad since it's a lot of fun to watch him play). Not to say that the quality of my photos in general is anything to celebrate for..

Anyway! Floor Jansen did wonderful job in the vocals, and if you ask me, she could stay too. The concert part was way too short, way too short. I could have taken another full round easily. Nevertheless, we were thrown out for a hour so that they could stroll some chairs to the arena. When we got back, we got places that were quite alright and then the movie started...

And I won't comment it. But I will buy the DVD when it comes out. I'll pre-order it, if they allow us to do that. And I tell you all, that if you have a possibility to go to see it, you should, maybe out of curiosity, or to support the new ideas and imagination or for whatever reason. They put a lot of money, time and themselves in it, and that deserves to be noticed. Everyone might not find it to their liking, but that's how the life goes.
And yes, it's visually pretty, it sounds lovely, the band looks wonderful in it, the story is touching and I adore Nightwish.( I just commented it, didn't I... wops, slipped.)

Pictures? Pictures now.

It was all blue and misty when we got in.

All in all, it was a great trip. And I'm looking forward to see Nightwish soon again, probably at some music festival next year (seems like they are coming to Tampere Open Air, haha).
Oh, and the first thing I did when I got home that Sunday? I drew some fanart to the movie. The thing I drew is pretty clumsily made and nothing to boast about, but I haven't been able to make myself draw anything for a while, yet now I'm looking forward to get some good quality time with pens, brushes and papers.

As for other things...
I changed the background (and the template, even though it seems pretty much the same). Still wondering if it's alright as it is, but at least having something a bit lighter for a chance is feeling refreshing.

I played through Okami (gametalk [here], like always) and started with Final Fantasy XIII-2. I also read a book by Bernhard Graf, Gems; The World's Greatest Treasures and their Stories (alright, I suppose), and Garth Nix's Sabriel (alright, I like the idea of those bells and the gates to Death). Currently flipping the pages of Lirael, the second book of the same series, by Garth Nix.

Now running to get some sleep, for I plan to be awesome tomorrow, and that requires waking up like a human being!

Versace Autumn 2012

Welcome to [Salla], awesome to have you around, and if it would fit me, I would steal that wonderful wig I saw in your blog~

~*~

[Versace] was all about crosses and corsets this autumn and I wanted to post some pictures from their runaway, wanted to do that for a while. Very nice jackets. Nothing against the crosses either. Here we go:

Now skipping to sleep and to think about things to sew...
